I think for both view points on Developer/Consumers can both wait for the next generation and continue to enjoy the current. When a new consoles comes out, the Developers have to spend millions in to creating new tool sets to build off the hardware and not to mention the amount of time it takes causing delays for highly anticipated games.
Its best to stick with whats available now, keeping cost low and currently consumers cant get enough.
That was "added" because the fans were demanding for it. Originally GT5 wasn't supposed to have any damage at all, but wasn't till later that the fans kept demanding for it, that eventually Polyphony Digital had to answer the call.
Basically Damage was added, not removed.
of course the game is not out yet, However GT5 prologue is and not to mention the GT5 Time Trial Challenge that was available. Which shows the amount of Fan service Polyphony Digital has been going out of their way for. If you even read a single line of what I had to say, you see I was reviewing Polyphony Digital on the amount of dedication and work towards their product. Something that any one can admire and give respect for.
Why the hell would any one pay for that?
I mean yes, this year already has brought out some huge titles that rocked the market. All which deserve the attention and spot light. My view on GT was more of respect towards Polyphony Digital and the amount of work they have put towards the latest GT title.
And yes theres been several other racing games available today which all have their fan base, however in my opinion, none have put the same amount of dedication, energy and passion in to a single title. I think GT dese...
The reason why theres even HD remakes coming out is because Fans have been demanding it for a long time. So now that Sony does that, places like blogs.chron.com are complaining? WTH?

You know, i had a feeling it was going to turn out like this. When Intel bought them, every thing went dry. Its really sad to hear about this.
Actually I previously thought FFXIV was going to cost $14.99 a month. So slightly cheaper. Almost every big MMO that releases is going to have a bit of a premium monthly rate to pay.
At least you get a single free month when you purchase the game. lol
I personally find Gamefly to be a solid service and its great to just open your mail box and oh look! another game to play. It really does keep you involved with all the games coming out today that I would typically miss.
I still use my old 360 that was one of the first units and some how still works. Its tempting at times to buy a new one, if I did buy a new unit I would be upgrading to wi-fi, HDMI and a bigger HDD which would be nice however theres few games i'm looking forward to. So I dont see the point of spending $299.99 just for a few more games that I can already play.
